Great results don't happen by accident. Over the years we have developed a proven process that helps ensure every project is completed professionally, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail.
Initial contact
When you contact us, we are responsive and will answer any questions you may have. We set up a convenient time for both of us to come by to meet with you and formulate an accurate cost.
In-person estimation
Before we arrive, we take your personal information provided and begin your quotation so when we arrive your quote has already been started. We meet with you to understand what you are wanting painted and review with you all details for the project.
Quick quotation response
We strive to have your quote back to you on the same day we meet. We know that your time is important and strive to be very responsive on all levels of communication—your quote being received in this timely manner is just another extension of our dedicated service.
Job go-ahead
Once approved, we review your desired timeline and book you in as soon as we can depending on our current schedule. About a 1-1.5 weeks before your job date, we contact you to go over the colours and then follow-up with another phone call 2-3 days before we arrive to confirm everything.
Arriving on time
On the day we are to begin, we arrive on-time at your door, fully equipped for the day so we can begin immediately. We move any furniture needing to be moved and thoroughly cover over the affected area flooring to ensure these surfaces are well protected.
Prep work is key
We pride ourselves in being perfectionists at prep work. We believe it lays a solid foundation for a job well done. Simple things like filling holes, sanding, and caulking are all critical before any painting is completed. Whether we are completing a full interior painting project or refreshing a single room, proper preparation helps ensure beautiful, long-lasting results. Limiting dust is a big priority for us as well.
Don’t sweat the small stuff
We are often asked if we charge extra for things like removing plate covers, doors and door hinges as most Durham painters often charge extra for these items. Our quote covers you—to receive a top notch job—no extra fees for doing it right the first time. This means the price quoted stays the price quoted unless you require us to do more work while we are at your location.
Cutting-in and painting
We are meticulous about the way we paint. We have a winning formula for doing it right and don’t sway. We ensure solid coverage on every wall and won’t apply the next coat until the previous one is completely dry. This ensures your paint will stand up for years to come. Our painting order is ceilings, trim, doors, and walls—followed by painting the baseboards to ensure a nice, clean line every time.
Clean up and final review
Upon completion of painting, we carefully remove all drop sheets and protective coverings, vacuum thoroughly and give careful attention to perfectly cleaning any surfaces that may have a spot of paint on them. We remove all garbage and supplies. We carefully re-install hinges and doors, along with plate covers. Finally we put all your furniture back in place and review the job with our customer before saying goodbye.
